Wellie Dam Reccie- 23rd March

Hi Everyone, This is Mel,(Bulman's girlfriend, Selfy's daughter).
This is my first attempt at a trip report, My inspiration was Dr. Zeuss, let me know what you think  :D

Five little patrols went out one day, over the hills and far away....

On a warm, overcast day,
They stopped on the highway,
With food in their bellies, and fuel in their tanks,
Selfy was quick to settle the ranks.

They set off on their quest to discover new tracks,
Tracks that they hoped would require clean dacks.
They set off with hope, that the tracks would be open,
And that CALM had not done the horrid unspoken.
But ALAS they were safe, MT Lennard had no gates,
All thanks to a collie boy and some of his mates.

Although it was dry, the terrain was quite hilly,
And this was no place to be acting all silly.
The potential was obvious for the clay covered rock,
This place would be wikid when all covered in slop!

The first obstacle they came to, wasnt so big,
Rather it was deep, and fit for a pig.
With no trouble up went, one, two, three, four,
Number five had to try a little bit more.
Bulman he tried, and he tried it again,
And finally got up, with the advice of a friend.

They trundled onwards and in through the dust
And closing the window soon was a must
Selfy sped off, and was gone in flash
They were all quite surprised he never did crash

They continued their search, looking for fun,
When the shorty called out, I might just know one.
Hey Selfy he said, Is Edward Road near by,
Its a pretty mad hill that i'd just love to try.

A pretty mad hill, and even worse track,
It wasn't too long, They had to turn back.
That in it itself was a pretty big ask,
Turning around was a hell of a task
Back up they went as if on a dare,
All of a sudden there's a wheel in the air
Quick as he could, ready to boast,
Up shows Evil with the Grey Ghost,
With a quick snatch, they were back on their way
And Dusty swore he'd bring the ute back one day

Over in Brunswick, they had spoiled the fun,
The dirty big dozer had been on a run.
Once it was muddy, sloppy and slimey,
Now was all smooth and not even grimey.

Onwards and upwards and over the rise,
Searching and finding a nice surpirse.
They turned off the track just over the bridge,
At the top the spot they call Heartbreak Ridge.
It wasn't too hard on a day like today
wait until winter in the mud you can play.

From there they got lost, and ran a bit late,
All coz the Water Corp, locked up the Gate.
Around and around in circles they drove,
All awhile dinners growing cold on the stove.

They were out of the bush, and back on the tar,
They stopped for a chinwag, next to the car.
It was agreed thay'd had a really good day,
And soon there was not much left to say.
They got in their cars, and then with a beep
They were all off home, for a hard earned sleep!!
