Topic: Powerlines - 5/4/09 - Dialup Beware!!

Was a fairly standard Sunday morning at the KFC Carpark...I would have been second there if not for being thwarted by Stephs desire for Breakfast...which took 20 minutes to get. After arriving at the carpark to find everyone raring to go, finished my breakfast, gave the standard spiel and off we went...

Aired down at the start...called a bunch of morons by 2 jeep drivers...go figure.

Then we just cruised through without too many dramas...Trent felt the need to get hung up in a set of ruts...but with 3 of us lifting his car he managed to get out, pick a new line and off he went. See pictures below.

Apart from that was fairly cruisy, we let 3 groups go past who were flying through and as we were just crusing along didnt see the need to hold them up...

Everyone who gave the track before the fenceline a go managed to do so without any dramas at all, just needed some guidance, Congos ute had me worried when i see it bouncing from side to side but to his credit he drove it very well. Mikael's new BFG mudders looked very nice and seemed to perform very well...when I kill the claws they look like a good option...

Got to the fenceline...apart from the BBQ and myself no one wanted to give it a go..and then the ole BBQ decided it wasnt for him...probably with good reason, I tried to pick the harder of 3 lines through there...and for a second almost had her A over T back down the hill...with some help from L300 I managed to get up..and thank christ for the lokka...that thing just made the day so so so easy i dont have to scream up things at 100mph now!! Still managed to buckle my front bar quite badly after smashing it into a rock on the fenceline but ya get that.

A very enjoyable day with a great group of people as always...now pictures below...

Good photos Jarryd. Thanks for leading the trip was a good run had a ball. You where not the only one who got a bit worried hence my wife covering half the rough stuff on foot.
