The second "Show us your 7inchers Nerd Day" went off pretty well. By the start time of 2pm we had 10 clubbies hiding out in the shed behind the Beachshack (hmmm the beachshed?) with their 7"ers out on the table

We had a good spread of ability from brand new users to the more experienced. Those that were a bit more clued in helped the new guys sort out some of their teething problems and by the end of the day I think most people went home more confident than they arrived.
Most of the day was spent rectifying any glitches that people had found with their GPS's and installing some updated software to them. The new version of IGO8 was pretty popular as was ET's "Hires.Dat" hack in Oziexplorer that makes the screen so much easier to see and use. It was voted the most useful install of the day.
After the initial flurry we had time socialise while the Laptop brigade were burning new SD cards. So it was out with the drinks, nibbles and laughter. The arvo went past too quickly and 6pm saw the last cable wrapped up and packed away and the Patrols driving off into the sunset secure in the knowledge that they'd be able to find their way back to civilisation from way down south here in Rockingham
For those of you who aren't quite sure why a bunch of guys would want to sit around in a shed playing with their 7"ers here's a pic or two

The littlest Nerd
