The wind was cool but the pies were hot !!!!!! The scene was set and all the willing participants arrived at the Miami bakehouse in Falcon ready and rearing for a promising day.....
Once all the breaky orders were consumed, seagulls fed and the sauce explosion had occured and those that wanted lunch had ordered, we set off for whitehills.... A short drive saw us turn right off the black top and onto the track leading down to the beach....
The entry onto the beach was pretty good and not too soft....
However.......
A stop to assess a washed out section of the track saw a couple of the trucks struggle off the mark on a slightly angled high part of the beach... A bit of further airing down and vroom off we trotted once again. The weather was a mixed bag of cool breeze, blue skies, with promising cloud....the sand soft, the water blue...
The convoy powered on to Preston beach. This was a perfect spot to stop for a toilet break, a bit of a stretch and a chat.... Also a perfect opportunity to shoot up to the shop for a bit of bait....Kids, dogs and adults refreshed and enthusiastic, we set off again...
The run towards Myalup was quite pleasant and at a wide clean part of the beach we pulled up for a bit of a feed, swim and(non-productive)fish.... After a few hours of lazing around and chatting getting to know each other a bit more we set off for the run to Myalup. On arrival to the Myalup area it was still early in the day so a decision was made to turn around and head back along the beach rather than taking the blacktop...
After a relatively easy run back to whitehills we all aired up and got ready to go our seperate ways....
Big thanks to Tosh for leading this trip and well done to all for a great day.... No-one broke anything and although some finished the day a little redder than they began it - fun was had by everyone.......
