Powerlines Cleanup
« on: 03 July, 2010, 05:49:53 PM »
4 vehicles from our club,Chris72GQ,Almost Dun,Run-up & 1BBQ and myself joined some of the Perth4x4 crew and cleaned up from Gorry Rd back to the start of the Powerlines.

A nice day for a cleanup of rubbish that people(sorry should call the rubbish dumpers something else eg peanuts but they may read this and get upset) shouldn't have to do but there is those that can carry the stuff in and are happy to leave it there!!! The Perth4X4 guys even got a bed with base and mattress.

A thank you to the gentleman from DEC that meet us at the end of the trip with a nice BBQ,drinks and we even got chocolates.

Thanks to Chris for organising/leading the trip and thanks to the Perth4X4 crew that turned out.

was an enjoyable day by all, we also got a blow in in the way of REV, who gave details to Lina to renew his membership, so in total we had 5 vehicles attend this trip.
I didnt take my camera, or video camera because i forgot to charge the batteries, but look out for season 2 of the 4wd show, they were also out there, and lina was running around taking happy snaps as well
all up there was approximately 15 vehicles, who attended in total.
was a chilly start to the morning, but once we got started the sunshine was very welcome, was good to meet people who have the same common ground, in doing our bit to be seen as proactive in trying to keep our tracks open.
a huge thanks to Thomas(2shortgq) Dylan(Almost Dun) Matt(Rev) Lina(Run-up) Bevan(1BBQ) and thier kids who braved a chilly start to help out.
well done guys, big pat on your backs

Well, uuuuummm, interesting...  ??? ??? ???

Gorrie Road to the Start of the Powerlines is actually in West Coast 4WD Club Adoption area who we helped with the clean up last year.

Forums 4x4 Inc have adopted the Flynn Road to West Talbot Road section.

I mean good onya's all (incl the Perth 4x4 mob who organised it) but curious why they would be doing other Adoptee's areas... It is a wonder West Coast weren't down there helping as well... or were they?

If it's Tourist Season why is it illegal to shoot 'em?.

not sure who has what sections up there ET, but we met at Gorrie Rd, and broke up from there, WPC contingent headed west from Gorrie toward Cole Rd, and others went east, from Gorrie to just east of Flynn Rd,
no1 seems to know who has what area up there, speaking to the DEC guy he was happy that some1 was up there doing something, and then speaking to Greybeard from Forums, he thought we were in thier area
