Well after the storms & power cuts there was no servos open in the whole Rockingham district so we were risking a no start but fortunately Floopers on South West Hwy was operating. We slipped down Yangetti road on the way to Dwelly to test the water now that it is flooded again & we found 3 or 4 good sized puddles but Beachy & I knew there was better to come. After fueling up & getting a bacon & egg sanga we were off for Dwelly. There were a lot of trees down leading to the first turn around, after dragging a few trees out of the way & making a way around a few more trees we come across a tree that was not going to be crossed so we backtracked & followed Nanga road to Coffs Form & the start of the fun. Heaps more trees had to be negotiated either by climbing, dragging, going around or chainsawing. We eventually came to the first really good puddle & talked Mick into taking the lead through it (we knew what was going to happen) I believe he had white knuckles as he watched the bonnet dive in up to the headlights before levelling out. There were many more trees down & we had to squeeze past one that was too big do anything else when the last car through staked a tyre. The rest of the day was very similar until we got back o the Dwelly pub for a beer or 2. With the forcast of more rain to come Sunday is shaping up to be a good one as well.
Cheers
