A couple of those pics look suspiciously like Telephone Lane... Yes/No?
If it was did you get any Marron?
...

If it's Tourist Season why is it illegal to shoot 'em?.

Mud is not my style of driving. However, I had heaps of fun.

I was so impressed that I wasn't the only one that got a tow from Doc's truck, I nominate myself for the cheezy grin award.  lol.

Grunt is still in shock, coz his bonnet has never been underwater before - until now!  Wish I had a co-driver to get THAT pic.  lol.

That mud that Jon, Turbo and me got in, really, really stank.

DXGrunt - Roscos Trip Report

Well here's the trip report.......

The main meeting place was the Masters Carpark in Baldivis.  From memory there was about 11 trucks took off from there to Dwellingup via the back blocks.

DX grunt was the first to get bogged in the first 'puddle'.

That set the mood for the day and basically divided the group.  3 of us got bogged (DX grunt Flying Badger and Turbo Joe).  DX grunt bottomed out on his springs, Badger took the wrong lines, and Turbo Joe gave his truck a treat, with an exhaust bubble bath and flooded his cab)  After that dillema, we arrived at Dwellingup about 11am, or thereabouts, had a quick bite to eat and met up with the other group.

Many of the tracks that were planned to navigate, were closed, so we had to find another playground, which we did. Even the local constabulary in their Hilux joined in for a bit.  lol.   Don't know where, but it challenged a few of us.  Up hills and down dale, with plenty of corrugations and wash outs, was the order of the day.  There were a few courteous 4wders that let our group of 20 pass -unhindered.

One number plate was lost, another found.

Came across this massive tree across our path.  The city slickers chainsaw just 'didn't cut it', but the country boy bought out his Stihll Farmboss - that did the trick - with the help of Beachy's snatch and drag experience.  Thanks to the manual labour for pushing the tree out of the way.  I think we made many drivers breathe a sigh of relief.

Back onto the dirt road, a quick air up and many departed their ways, but a few stayed back at Pinjarra Pub for a softie, before meandering home.

Thanks to all involved in organizing. Thanks to the Peel 4 x 4 Club for making it a more interesting day.

As I've said, the groups split, so feel free to add stuff and don't forget the pics.

For me personally.....I learnt a lot about my truck and with skinny tyres, it's all about tyre pressure.  lol.

Take care out there.

Rossco

Beachbums - Wayne and Jan

It wasn't trip we signed up for but it was the trip we did and what a great day out it ended up!  8)

We had 9 Patrols from the WPC, 8 4x4s from PEEL plus Bri and myself who are members of both clubs. So a really good turnout. Plenty of excitement early on in the trip too >:D

While we were clearing away some of  the fallen trees it was really cool to see the way everyone from both clubs pitched in and got the job done.

Thanks to everyone that came out for the day, especially our two country members DXGrunt and Grover. Top effort guys to travel so far to join in on a trip.

And as usual, big Kudos to Brisey for being such a big part of it, ta mate.

Cheers, Wayne and Jan

oh, did anyone get any pics? ;D

Kicking in the hubs

Hmmmmm........................

Airing down

Rothy and Rob getting in deep

There were a LOT of trees down on the tracks but this was our biggest obstacle of the day (Well apart from a bit of a puddle here and there )

Out of the tracks and time to air back up.

And for those that missed it, the Hotham Valley Express came trundling past

Thanks Beachy for putting it all together in the one thread.

I know everybody gets excited and wants to post as soon as they get home, but I would like to see the Trip Reporter post the trip report first, then the mass can contribute after that.

This trip was different because of vehicle numbers.  It was fantastic to see so many people and so many pics - even though the groups were divided.

For whatever reasons, there were 2 threads for the same trip. I'd like to see one trip, one thread.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks everyone for the trip.  I had a ball.  I got sprung putting the snatch strap into the washing machine.  Damn!  lol

Take care out there.
