Big Red Bash 2020/Simpson desert

What: Big Red Bash – Simpson Desert

Where: Birdsville QLD and the Simpson desert
   
When: 1st to 31st of July 2020

Who: All WPC members

Trip Leader: Two Trolls (Kylie Kite)

Terrain:
1 - Relatively Easy (Beginners)
2 - Moderate to Easy
3 - Moderate
4 - Moderate to Serious
5 - Serious and Endurance

Rating out of 5 will be?: 5

Distance: A Bloody Long Way, (To Be Confirmed)

Description:  On this trip we will be attending the Big Red Bash in Birdsville QLD, then returning to WA via the Simpson desert

Car Limit: None

Dog Friendly: No

Meeting Point: TBC

Meeting time: TBC

Comms: UHF channel 20

What To Bring: Travellers must be self-sufficient for the duration, Sleeping equipment, food, water, fuel, spare parts, recovery gear, tools, camera, first aid kits etc

Hi, at this stage we've only got getting there planned.

From home to Port Augusta, then onto Leigh Creek, Lyndhurst, Marree and Birdsville approx 3200 kms.

Coming back via the Simpson Desert track, still working this part out at the moment.

Just a heads up, the 2020 event is now sold out.
