AB's Eastern Goldfields April 2018

What: 8 day/7 night WPC trip to the Eastern Goldfields during the school holidays in April 2018.  Visiting Coolgardie, Rowles Lagoon, Lake Ballard, Kookynie, Gwalia, Lake Perkolilli, Kalgoorlie/Boulder, Lake Lefroy, Cave Hill, Burra Rock, Nepean.

Where: Touring Eastern Goldfields
When: Saturday 14 April - Saturday 21 April  School holidays.

Who: All members and provisional members.  Camper trailers welcome.  No caravans given some of the terrain. 

Trip Leader: "AB"; also known as Andrew.

1 - Relatively Easy (Beginners)
2 - Moderate to Easy
3 - Moderate
4 - Moderate to Serious
5 - Serious and Endurance

Rating out of 5 will be?: 2.  1,650kms of highway and sealed roads.  417kms of unsealed roads and tracks.

Car Limit: This trip will be capped at 8 vehicles.

Dog Friendly: No given we'll be passing through National Parks and dog baited areas.

Meeting Point: Puma El Caballo Roadhouse, 3381 Great Eastern Highway, Wooroloo.

Meeting time: 8:30 AM  Saturday 14 April

Comms: UHF channel 20

What To Bring: Your camping and touring set up.  More specific requirements will be posted before mid-March.

Evenings Tuesday 17th April & Wednesday 18th April
Discovery Holiday Park, 286 Burt Street, Boulder  -  evenings Tuesday 17th April & Wednesday 18th April.
https://www.discoveryholidayparks.com.au/  Be sure to select the 286 Burt Street Boulder site.  There are two sites in Boulder.  Boulder is the twin city of Kalgoorlie.  Donít select Kalgoorlie.
Andrew (AB) has booked an unpowered site.

We are likely to stay the evening Friday 20th April at Westonia Caravan park.  Bookings to be made after we inspect the park as we pass through Westonia on the 14th on our way out to the Goldfields.

Did this trip go ahead?

Apologies for not attending due to afternoon shift all week.  Was looking forward to it.
