Responses have been a bit pisspoor............
"If you're going out there, I'll give you a tip. It's wild and it's rough and you're in for a trip. But once you've gone this far off the track, you won't turn around, and you'll never look back."

Our lockers, who art in the diffs Hallowed be thy name, thy traction come, thy will be done,in mud as it is in rocks, give us this day,our daily tread and forgive us our rollovers…

I'm on.. except I was waiting for responses re: the pub option.
Personally I believe we'd be better off with papers, maps, etc if we did it in an office.

Whilst i cannot join in on the trip (away overseas June-August) i am able to attend a planning session or two - and would like to. I have not traversed the CSR but read many articles, trip reports, etc., in preparation for a future trip, and have travelled about in remote areas although never in convoy. So i may have some thoughts to offer, and no doubt perspectives to learn from. Meeting in a pub or other public place is not really conducive to travel planning activity, imho, and as noted by howezit. I’ll check tonight to see if a venue/time is advised, and then with the group’s permission, join the meeting. Thanks. hd

So.. currently this trip is a trip solely to do the CSR.. not a bunch of nice-to-have extras thrown in while we're there, which was the original intention/hope.

Roughly:
Starting from Perth : Tuesday 2nd July
Starting CSR : Thursday 4th July
Ending CSR : Wednesday 24 July
Allowing 3 days to get home to Perth by Sat/Sun 27th/28th July

Doc has a bunch of time up his sleeve to go further and he would love anyone to join him, but that is outside of the scope of this trip.
