Who:   Trip Leader Familiarisation Day

When:   1st August 2010

Meeting:        Shelter 17 (Mussell Pool area) Whiteman Park @ 0900

Trip Leader: BeachBums   

Where:   Gnangara Pine Plantation & surrounds

Terrain:
1 - Relatively Easy (Beginners)
2 - Moderate to Easy
3 – Moderate
4 - Moderate to Serious
5 - Serious and Endurance

Rating out of 5 will be?: 1 – 3

Distance:   Approximately 200kms round trip from Perth

Description:  This trip is a Trip Leaders Familiarisation Day to allow all members to gain confidence in leading trips. It will be covering all of the administration side of leading a trip (trip form, convoy procedure, code of ethics, etc.). It will also cover the checks that a trip leader should make (safety, recovery points, etc.). This day will allow all participants that want to learn the opportunity to lead a trip and also to act as Tail End Charlie. The Leader and TEC positions will change around to enable everyone to have ago. Also if there are people that just want to come along for the drive and to be sociable then by all means come along. If we get enough interest in this then we will be able to split into smaller groups and then meet at a predetermined spot for lunch.

Comms: UHF channel 20

What To Bring:   Food, Water, recovery gear and cameras to get some awesome pictures.

Other info: The trip will be tailored for those attending and all the lumpy bits will have "Resale Routes" for those that don't wish to take the chance of scratching up the pride and joy. There will be no pressure to anyone to get outside their comfort zone. Looking forward to a day out with friends. Hope to see you there.

Ladies & Gents,

This trip is now unlocked so post up if you wish to attend. Beachy is putting a lot of work into this so it would be good to see a few people attend.

Unfortunately I wont be here so I wont be able to attend. This will be a good trip for some of the newer members to gain confidence in leading trips.
